Julia and a number of our consultants are accredited mediators through National Mediator Accreditation System. We are strong believers in seeking to find agreement and the middle ground wherever possible, before taking more formal steps to resolve disputes. This approach is valuable in a wide range of situations, including dysfunctional teams; negotiating with unions and contractors; dealing with complaints from staff; and chairing complex and challenging meetings to achieve good outcomes.
Experience has shown that mediation may sometimes resolve complaints relatively quickly and with less pain than more formal mechanisms (e.g. some cases of perceived bullying). Julia and a number of our consultants work with individuals and small teams to mediate outcomes when differences arise. We support individuals in learning the key skills to resolve disputes themselves in their day-to-day work lives.
